Residents question safety of controversial Tuckahoe project

New questions have been raised about the safety of a controversial project in Tuckahoe that will convert an old marble quarry and landfill into a hotel. Critics of the proposed Springhill Suites Hotel have been concerned about possible contamination at the site since the project came to light, but the concern came to a head Wednesday after people spotted aerosol cans in the soil at 109 Marbledale Road.
