With Tuckahoe Middle School Principal Ellen McDonnell being promoted to Assistant Superintendent, the Board of Education has tabbed a former Mamaroneck educator to fill the vacancy. At a special Board of Education meeting on Monday, the trustees unanimously voted to appoint Carrie Amon as interim Middle School Principal, effective Monday, Aug. 1. The move comes as part of a districtwide reshuffle after former Assistant Superintendent Carl Albano was named as the permanent replacement for interim Superintendent Charles Wilson earlier this year.
