Bronxville's Urbina Among Boy Scouts To Earn Eagle Honor

Six members of Eastchester's Troop 353 have earned the highest achievement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout award. The six are: Derek Cheung, 18, of Eastchester, Tenneth Fairclough, 17, of the Bronx, Andrew Mrose, 17, of Yonkers, Matthew Occhicone, 16, of Eastchester, Noah Orlando, 18, of Eastchester and Alejandro Urbina, 16, of Bronxville, The six will be recognized in ceremonies at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church at 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe.

Eastchester Teens Earn Eagle Scout Award

The six young men will be recognized in ceremonies at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church at 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe.

Tuckahoe and Ardsley Land on State 'Fiscal Stress' List

The villages of Tuckahoe and Ardsley are currently under "significant" and "moderate" fiscal stress , respectively, according to a new report released Monday by state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. The two are the only communities in Westchester County to make the list, which in total names 22 municipalities around the state that are in various degrees of fiscal stress.

Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli scored the state's villages on their financial picture, and three had "significant fiscal stress," while the other 19 had fewer troubles. The three with the most financial woes were Amityville in Suffolk County; Tuckahoe in Westchester County; and Port Dickinson in Broome County.
